We are happy to announce that Black Veil has found a new home, the cellar bar of The George 67-69, Great
George Street, Leeds, West Yorkshire, LS1 3BB

Some years ago we had the option of using this same venue but decided then to go elswhere. Since then The George has undergone several changes of ownership/management but it is now in the very capable hands of the same team who so vastly improved things recently at the Wellington (hence allowing the pub to be a marketable proposition and the lease being sold to a new owner with plans of their own into which a goth night didn't fit). One of the main reason's we have chosen The George now as the new home for Black Veil is that it is now being run by the former manager of The Wellington who is keen to have us join him at his new venue. Despite only moving into The George in the last seven days Karl and his team have already given the place a facelift. All the old (Edwardian?) fixtures and fittings have been given a good polish and plans are already underway to spruce up the cellar bar for regular use as a comfortable specialist small music venue. So, there will be no Black Veil in April (Easter weekend) but we look forward to welcoming everyone to Black Veil @ The George on Saturday 1st May and from then on each first Saturday of the month.

We are sorry to hear of the death of the lead singer of the excellent band
Elusive. Jan was only 35 which makes it all the more shocking. All we can say is that it was a privledge to have him as our guest in Leeds @ BTV. Our thoughts are with his family and the former members of Elusive.

We have over forty assorted quality items of merchandise, t-shirts, (including some sleeveless, & a couple longsleeved) and bags, from previous BTVs, mainly BTV I and BTV IV, in sizes from S through to XXXL, which will be on sale at Beyond The Veil VI at the Cockpit on Easter Sunday. These will be selling for £2 (bags) £3 (t-shirts and skinnis) and £5 (long sleeved t-shirts).
There is a stocklist of the styles and sizes available on the BlackVeil website here. If anyone wants to put their name down for any particlar items in advance, just let me know by email and I'll get out what you want for payment & collection on the Saturday night if possible, otherwise reserved items would have to be collected early on the Sunday, say before 4pm, from me at the door.

We are very happy to announce Black Veil will be returning in
November @ a new venue in Leeds which means we will be extending
Halloween so we can bring you a very special and
exclusive "Halloween Spook"
BLACK VEIL HALLOWEEN SPOOK @ THE WELLINGTON, 88 WELLINGTON ST LEEDS.
SAT 3rd November 2007 8pm til Midnight
FREE ENTRY (Gothic dress code applies) - to make up for the
disappointment/chaos of last month we are making this event free!
WE have not one but two Black Veil exclusive CD giveaways
THE ETERNAL FALL (ESP)(Dark-Wave/Gothic-Rock)- have made a very
exclusive CD for Blackveil, each one is hand numbered and comes in
an exclusively designed sleeve. The CD features 'The Ninth Sphere'
single (inc videos for The Puppet & The Deathbed), tracks from The
Sadness, The Path and To Darkness.
But that isn't all as our good friends have added a hint of Wonka
magic. Two of the CD's have two tickets in each to The Dark Chamber
Gothic festival, which will be held in Spain next March.

To stand a chance of getting your hands on these CD's we will be
giving them away on a first come first served basis. So make sure

There is plenty of on Street parking near the venue and Leeds train
Station is only 10-15 minutes away on foot.
The venue has a great music history as it was formerly 'The Central'
in the 80's/ early 90's a thriving live music venue in Leeds.
DJ's De'Ath & Andy C will be spinning their musical web of new/old
Gothic/Darkwave/Mittelalter/Deathrock/Electro/Darkfolk/Wave!
The Next Black Veil will be @ The Wellington on Tuesday 18th
December 2007. 8pm to Midnight. Admission GBP 2.50 and will be our
Xmas special.
We hope to announce details of the Saturdays for the 2008 dates for Black
Veil @ The Wellington by early November.
